Manchester United set to hire Steve McClaren and Mitchell van der Gaag

Manchester United has finally decided to hire Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren as a part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff.

The Red Devils appointed Erik Ten Hag quickly before the end of the current campaign. The Dutch manager will now move to the Premier Title after winning the Dutch league with Ajax, and he has already secured his first target.

Manchester United has already finalized talks to bring Mitchell van der Gaag to the club. This season, Ten Hag worked with his Dutch colleague, and there was no doubt in his mind that he wanted to bring his right-hand man to the Premier League with him.

Also, Steve McClaren is reportedly excited to join Manchester United after Van der Gaag, and the agreement has been finalized with him as well. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the club has listened to Ten Hag’s demands to bring in the desired staff ahead of the upcoming season.

Steve McClaren has worked with Erik Ten Hag before during their time at Twente. Surprisingly, McClaren was also Sir Alex Ferguson’s assistant for two years during which he helped the club win the treble in the year 1999.

Every successful manager has a group of instructors who all believe in the same things and the Dutch duo is no exception. Ten Hag has a unique concept that has been successful in Holland, but it has to be seen if it can translate to the Premier League.

Erik Ten Hag has demonstrated his ability to modify his style, particularly when it comes to European games. Although the Dutch league can not compare to the Premier League or La Liga, Ajax has competed in the Champions League against some of the best clubs in the world.

We hope that he succeeds with the best backroom staff at his disposal.
