Manchester United has joined Everton and Tottenham in the race to sign Christian Eriksen as his contract with Brentford has expired last month.
Eriksen joined Brentford in January after being released from his Inter Milan contract. A cardiovascular defibrillator was inserted into the Danish international’s body after he experienced a heart arrest while playing for his team.
Eriksen’s contract was terminated since the Italian league does not allow any players to play with one of these devices attached. He then joined Brentford and he was a crucial player for the bees.
Now that his contract with Brentford has expired, the 30-year-old needs to find a new club, and according to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United, Everton, and his former club Tottenham are all interested in signing him.

Eriksen was instrumental in steering Brentford away from relegation last season, as they appeared destined to get drawn into the relegation battle prior to his arrival.
Manchester United and Everton both had disappointing seasons last year, and both will be looking to upgrade their squads this summer.
Given Everton’s financial difficulties, looking for a free transfer market may be the most effective option for Frank Lampard to improve his team.
And for Manchester United, following the departures of Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Nemanja Vidic, and Jesse Lingard, Erik ten Hag has already made a proposal for wanted Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong.
