Gary Neville slams Glazers for turning the club into a graveyard for players

Former Manchester United player and pundit Gary Neville has slammed Glazers for changing the status of the club over the years.

Gary Neville has also ripped into the Manchester United owners over the transfer of Christian Eriksen. The team has yet to reach an agreement with the free agent.

The former United player has once more criticized the Glazer family for withdrawing funds from the organization in the form of profits when the team is having trouble on the field, so much so that players are hesitant to sign up with the 20-time English champions.

Erik ten Hag wants to sign players that are capable of mounting a serious challenge for the top titles. The club hasn’t been able to sign any new players as of yet despite players like Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata leaving.

Darwin Nunez was attracted to United but ultimately decided to go to Liverpool. Long-standing interests in Frenkie de Jong of Barcelona and Eriksen have not resulted in any agreements.

Neville, a commentator for Sky Sports, expressed his displeasure on social media and encouraged the Glazer family to hold off on distributing dividends to shareholders until the team improves its gameplay.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, he said:

“That’s why Dividends have to stop for a period. Every penny has to go back into the club until it becomes attractive again. The club has become a graveyard for players. Culturally for owners to take money out of a poorly performing business is demoralizing! “

Eriksen’s short-term deal with Brentford expired at the end of the 21–22 season, making him a free agent. He showed his full potential during his brief time with Thomas Frank’s team.

His standout performances helped the Bees ensure that they finish in the 13th place on the league table.
