Denzel Dumfries could be an ideal full-back to play under Erik Ten Hag

Inter Milan full-back Denzel Dumfries is apparently gathering the attention of Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag.  L’ Interista reports that United is willing to pay €30 million for the Dutchman.

According to reports, the United manager wants to sign the 26-year-old to strengthen his team’s right-back position. He might go for the transfer because he has a strong bond with Dumfries.

Current United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is better suited to playing on a team that prefers deep defending because he is not the best with the ball at his feet.

Although he possesses excellent defending skills, United has lost several goals due to his bad positioning.

On the other hand, Diogo Dalot is unpredictable. While he occasionally performs better while moving upfront, Ten Hag may be concerned about his inconsistent play, especially in the latter part of the season.

Dumfries was added to Inter as Achraf Hakimi’s replacement, and he has performed admirably. The 26-year-old right-back is a dynamic player who is renowned for leading the team’s attacking moves.

The attacking fullbacks are made easier to use in Ten Hag’s system, and Dumfries might perform at his peak. Numerous teams, including United, have expressed interest in him as a result of his performances for the Netherlands.

Right now, Manchester United does not prioritize the right-back position, and the team may consider Dumfries in the closing stages of the window.
