According to Flamengo’s Official Twitter post, Andreas Pereira has returned to Manchester United after his loan with the Brazilian powerhouses ended.
The 26-year-old scored eight goals in 53 games for Flamengo after joining the team on loan in August of last year.
Flamengo and United had discussed making the deal permanent, but those discussions were unsuccessful, and his contract with the Brazilian team expired on Thursday.
With just one year left on his contract, the midfielder has to decide on his future. The latest bid from Fulham of roughly £11 million, may give him a choice to join the newly-promoted side.

Andreas Pereira scored the winning goal for Flamengo in his last match for the club. The 26-year-old’s screamer in the 17th minute gave Flamengo a 1-0 victory over Tolima in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores round of 16 clashes.
The Brazilian always wanted to stay at Flamengo as he felt loved at the club. However, he may now return to the club to prepare for the preseason. Pereira last played for United in August 2020, making 75 appearances overall. Under Erik ten Hag, it is difficult to imagine Pereira having a future.
Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, and Jesse Lingard are among those departing the team as free agents, leaving United short of midfielders.
However, with James Garner and Hannibal Mejbri aiming to impress Ten Hag and Donny van de Beek likely to perform at his peak under his former manager, Pereira risked falling far down the pecking order.
