Manchester United are understood to be preparing a formal offer for PSV forward Cody Gakpo who has emerged as a top name on Eric ten Hag’s wishlist for the summer transfer window.
The £35m-rated winger is one of the standout players in Holland’s top flight and could be in line to earn his big ticket move to the Premier League with Manchester United increasingly keen on securing his signature.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Ten Hag is set to move in for the PSV talisman as the United head coach looks to add to his attacking ranks this summer amid the uncertainty over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford with the 37-year-old demanding for his contract to be terminated while Ten Hag faces another worry following Anthony Martial’s injury which sidelined him from the Premier League opener against Brighton.
Man United also appear to be closing in on signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot after an agreement was reached upon with the Turin outfit with Ten Hag moving to Rabiot as an alternative to Frenkie de Jong.
