Manchester United in danger of losing Rabiot due to high wage demands

Manchester United’s attempt to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot may suffer a major stumbling block because of the player’s mother, who also serves as his agent, and their high wage demands.

Rabiot’s sale to the Red Devils has been agreed upon at a price of £15.2 million, and the Serie A club is content to let him go. The Daily Mail claims that negotiations over personal terms are, however, proving to be a roadblock in the transfer.

Veronique Rabiot is reportedly set to speak directly with United by Friday, but she is demanding a pay raise from the £6 million a year her son is now receiving in Turin. The prospect of losing Rabiot excites Juventus supporters, who want the transfer to be completed as quickly as possible.

The fact that the club has given youngster Nicolo Fagioli a new four-year contract emphasizes the fact that the 27-year-old is not in their plans for the current campaign.

Rabiot no longer has the will to stay in Turin because his patience is running thin. His deal expires in 2023, therefore joining United would stop Juve from losing him for nothing the following summer.

Erik ten Hag sought to sign the French midfielder after the club’s recent defeat by the hands of Brighton.
