Bayern Munich have reportedly made a loan approach to sign Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong who is linked with an exit from the Barcelona camp this summer.
De Jong is a top name on United’s shopping list for the summer transfer window but the Holland international midfielder has played out the waiting game with his reluctance to make the move to Old Trafford well documented.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet Sport, De Jong has received a loan deal to join the Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich until the end of the season which could play spoilsport to United’s plans of signing the midfielder.
Bayern are looking to reinforce their midfield for the new campaign and are credited with a strong interest in moving in for De Jong who has snubbed the opportunity to sign for his long-standing suitors in Eric ten Hag’s side.
United, meanwhile, are set to bring in Real Madrid’s maestro Casemiro in a big-money transfer with Brazil international in line to complete his medical later this week.
