Manchester United visits the King Power Stadium for their fifth game of the Premier League campaign. United are looking very composed after bagging two consecutive wins.
Leicester City on the other hand, are on the 19th position with only a point. Leicester dominated the entire game against Southampton but they ended up losing that by a 2-1 score line. The last time United faced Leicester in the King Power Stadium, United ended up losing by 4-2. United showed sparks of a comeback, but it all went in vain after Jamie Vardy scored for the home side. Patson Daka scored deep into the extra time to secure all the three points for the Foxes.
Ever since United got their victory over Liverpool, there’s some kind of a synergy that has been generated in this under-developing United team. Defensively, the team looks very balanced and Marcus Rashford looks like a player whose going to give all his heart to bring United to the level that everyone expects them to be. Erik Ten Hag gave Casemiro his debut against Southampton and this time he’s expected to start the game. Lisandro Martinez who once again was United’s man of the match, proving the opponents wrong.
Manchester United and Leicester’s previous game ended as a stalemate as Iheanacho scored in the 63rd minute followed by Fred’s brilliant goal three minutes later. United held 52% of the possession and made 582 passes.
Jamie Vardy along with James Maddison are the key players for the home side. United defenders once again needs to have their tactics spot on to catch hold of all the crucial three points which can eventually help the side win the title later on. Erik Ten Hag might once again hand over the starting XI position to Rashford. Sancho on the hand, is becoming an irreplaceable player in the squad. Rafael Varane and Martinez is also expected to start after they finally managed to have a clean sheet against the unpredictable Saints.
