As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United teenage sensation Hannibal Mejbri has finished his season-long loan transfer to Birmingham City.
Mejbri follows the same loan route at St Andrew’s as Jesse Lingard and Tahith Chong took in their respective career. The Tunisian midfielder has already played six times for his nation and being just 19-year-old, he is expected to have an exciting future ahead.
He will be eager to play as many games as he can for John Eustace’s Championship team as he will be aiming to be a part of Tunisia’s World Cup squad in November. Despite having less than a month to prepare for the new season, the Blues have only won one of their first six league games under Eustace.

Mejbri is their sixth signing of the transfer window and the fifth loan move for the Blues, joining defender Dion Sanderson from Wolves, centre-back Auston Trusty from Arsenal, Krystian Bielik from Derby, and winger Przemyslaw Placheta from Norwich City.
Additionally, they acquired Wolves’ John Ruddy to further help them in their goals for this season. As stated by Manchester Evening News, Mejbri is happy to make the move as he said:
“It is an honour to come and play for this club. I have heard a lot of good things from my friends who have played here before, so I am ready to come and play for this club.”
Mejbri made his United debut in the season’s penultimate match against Wolves in May 2021, and he then played in two more Premier League matches, losing 1-0 at Crystal Palace and 4-0 to Liverpool.
He travelled with United on their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, but he hasn’t appeared in any of their first four league games this season With Antony soon to join the team, his possibilities will likely be even more limited.
Manchester United have made a good decision to hand him some crucial game-time and a loan move will help him to discover his strengths.
