David De Gea Could Become The Highest Paid Goalkeeper With Contract Extension

Manchester United star David De Gea is entering his final 12 months on his current contract with the English giants but the club is offering the goalkeeper a staggering offer of £350,000 a week deal to tie him down at Old Trafford which will make him the best-paid shot-stopper in the world.

The Red Devils finished in sixth place on the Premier League table and without Champions League football it will be difficult for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to keep hold of his star players at the club. Clearly one of them is goalkeeper David De Gea.

The Spanish star arrived at the Theatre Of Dreams back in the summer of 2011 from Atletico Madrid and has gone on to win the Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup and the Europa League with Manchester United in his career so far. De Gea has gone on to prove to the world that he is one of the best keepers in the world over the past few years but came under criticism for some high profile errors that he made the last term.

There was speculation surrounding the 28-year old that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford and with just a year remaining on his current deal with the red half of Manchester, he could leave the club for free next summer with plenty of suitors interested in his services.

The United board are still desperate to keep hold of De Gea because they are aware of his quality and ability. Therefore, the club is tabling an offer which will see him earn a staggering £350,000 a week with a new contract extension.

The reports claim that De Gea is stalling over a new deal but considering how much United are prepared to offer his wages, it could be too good a deal to turn down.
