According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have entered the race to sign Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram this January.
The French striker has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 15 Bundesliga games. He also has four goal contributions in three DFB-Pokal games for the German side.
Since moving to Germany in 2017, the prolific goal scorer has scored 41 goals in over 119 appearances.
Several elite clubs like Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Juventus have expressed interest in the striker and now, United have joined the intense race for his signature.
After Ronaldo’s departure, Erik ten Hag will be looking for options in the current market. The month of January will be crucial for the Red Devils as they want to sign a new right-back, a backup goalkeeper and a striker.
Thuram could fit the bill perfectly at United and considering his age, he will be able to mix experience with raw talent. His attacking skills are widely praised across Germany with his strong physicality and electric pace making him a decent addition.
It remains to be seen whether United will ponder a move for the French star this January.
