According to Fabrizio Romano, former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has received a formal offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
Despite turning down a proposal to go to Saudi Arabia in the summer, he has been offered a massive £173 million-per-year contract from the middle eastern club. The total includes wages and contracts for advertising.
According to the journalist, he has been offered a two-year contract. The striker could have wished to stay in Europe, but no club would have him, so he will have to take solace in the financial part of the transfer. There has been no decision made by the striker or his agent regarding the deal.
After his second stint at United failed, Ronaldo decided to leave the club by mutual consent. The former Real Madrid star dropped out of favour despite scoring 18 Premier League goals the previous season.
After Ronaldo accused the club of betraying him in a dramatic interview with Piers Morgan, his contract was terminated by the club.

Almost €200m per season until 2025.
But… big part is sponsor deals, so it’s not clear yet if image rights can be agreed.
Nothing done/signed or decided.

Last summer, Ronaldo’s agent tried to contact other clubs regarding a move, but nobody was interested. Managers did not want to deal with his ego in the locker room because of his age. But now, the forward is almost ready to fly to Saudi Arabia.
Al-Nassr has won their nation’s top-flight league nine times. In 2020 and 2021, they also prevailed in the Saudi Super Cup. Manager Rudi Garcia has successfully helped the team win several titles.
If Ronaldo makes a move, he will join other former European stars in the squad, including Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar, defensive midfielder Luiz Gustavo, and goalkeeper David Ospina.
