Manchester United are eyeing a move for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar with Eric ten Hag keen to reinforce his defensive ranks when the transfer window reopens for business next month.
Skriniar’s current deal expires at the end of the season and Inter have failed in their efforts to tie him down to extended terms with the Serbian defender wanted by some of the biggest clubs across Europe, especially in the Premier League.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, it is claimed that Manchester United are joined by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in the chase for the Inter man with the three sides ready to send offers to his agent in the hopes of securing the transfer.
Paris Saint-Germain are the other party in the mix with the French giants credited with a strong interest in the 27-year-old Serie A talent Skriniar who has grown into one of the top centre-backs in world football during his time at San Siro.
The arrival of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax in the summer had given United much-needed strengh in the heart of the defence but that should not stop Ten Hag from making a formal approach to sign Skriniar should the latter be willing to make a move to Old Trafford.
