According to The Express, Manchester United is interested in signing Mohammed Kudus from Ajax.
The 22-year-old scored twice in three games while playing for Ghana at the 2022 World Cup, and in recent weeks, there have been many rumours about his future.
The Toffees may now face competition from teams like Liverpool and Newcastle United after coming close to acquiring Kudus over the summer. At Ajax, Kudus worked with the current manager of the Red Devils, Erik ten Hag, who is said to be a major fan of the Ghanaian international.
The attacker has been in excellent form at club level during the 2022–23 season, making 21 appearances across all competitions while tallying 10 goals and two assists.
In 14 Eredivisie appearances this season, Kudus has managed five goals, while in six Champions League group stage matches, he has scored four goals and recorded two assists.
The young player from Nordsjaelland has spent the majority of the season playing as a center-forward for Ajax, but he is versatile enough to play in a variety of positions in the final third of the field.
It remains to be seen whether United see him as an ideal Cristiano Ronaldo replacement. The club may also prefer to give him more time for his development before coming in with a bid.
