Manchester United vs Reading – Man United’s Predicted Lineup | FA Cup 22-23

Manchester United will be eyeing a spot in the next round of the FA Cup as they welcome Championship side Reading to Old Trafford this weekend in the fourth-round fixture.

The Red Devils picked up a convincing win in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Nottingham Forest with goals from Rashford, Weghorst and Fernandes doing the job.

Let us now take a look at how Erik ten Hag might set up his side for the upcoming game –

Man United’s  Predicted Line Up Against Reading (Formation)

4-3-3

Tom Heaton, the No.2 in the United camp, is widely tipped to take over the goalkeeping gloves from David de Gea who started the game against Forest earlier in the week.

In the backline, Raphael Varane could push for a recall at the expense of Lisandro Martinez who has now wrestled back his berth in the starting XI after tasting World Cup glory with Argentina last year.

United’s midfield is likely to have Brazil international Fred, who came off the bench in the Forest win, joining Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes.

The attacking ranks could have the promising Alejandro Garnacho getting the nod on the right wing as new boy Wout Weghorst is almost certain to lead the line for his side.
