Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho was praised by Christian Eriksen after his goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in stoppage time.
The Red Devils overcame Wolves 2-0 at Old Trafford to advance towards a Champions League comeback.
The Danish midfielders had nothing but respect for Garnacho, who today returned from an ankle ligament injury. After the game, Eriksen admitted that it has been an unbelievable year for the young star.
As reported by the club’s official website, Eriksen said:
“You can see the quality he [Garnacho] can bring and the confidence in how he’s playing. I’m pleased for him. To be out for a while and to come back and score is the perfect return.”
Garnacho is the first player to look out for when Ten Hag’s team needs a spark from the bench. United’s attacking performance has been lacklustre ever since he sustained an injury in March.
Marcus Rashford has eased the scoring burden, but he also appears exhausted after playing in more over 50 games this season. It’s a breath of fresh air that Garnacho is back. Jadon Sancho performed admirably against the Wolves, but Garnacho’s cameo on the left wing was much more dangerous.
The Argentine has lightning-quick speed and is not afraid to challenge defenders. With a spectacular goal in the waning seconds of injury time, he gave United a crucial victory. The Old Trafford crowd cheered him on when he entered the game in the 82nd minute.
