According to RMC Sport, Manchester United would look to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone if the Red Devils are unable to come to personal terms with Adrien Rabiot this summer.
United are eager to sign Rabiot when his Juventus contract expires in June, and they have recently rekindled their interest in doing so.
He has been labelled an “important target” by manager Erik Ten Hag, but United still needs to discuss personal terms with him. According to the most recent RMC Sports story, if the Red Devils are unable to persuade Rabiot to move to Old Trafford, they may turn their focus to Kone.
Paris Saint-Germain is also keeping an eye on Kone. It is said that Monchengladbach will be willing to let him go in the event that a solid offer comes their way in the near future.
The 21-year-old has had an outstanding season in Germany’s top division. He has won 2.5 tackles per appearance while completing 87% of his throws.
The Frenchman has an astounding 7.4 victories per match. He is unquestionably talented, but he is not well known for his ability to inspire creativity.
The €50 million rated star has scored just one goal and one assists this season. Meanwhile, Rabiot has excelled for the Bianconeri, scoring 11 goals and dishing out four assists across all competitions.
In our opinion, United needs to try to sign a talented midfielder this summer so that Christian Eriksen will have stiff competition. Although Rabiot seems to be the manager’s top priority, we would personally like the team to pay a good sum to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
It might occur if there is a takeover. The Argentine is aiming to participate in the Champions League and United presently needs two victories to secure a top-four spot.
