According to a report from Calciomercato, Manchester United have reportedly made direct contact with Juventus star Adrien Rabiot regarding a free summer transfer.
The Red Devils were interested in signing the French international last year but failed to reach an agreement on personal terms.
While they negotiated a transfer fee with Juventus, they were unwilling to meet Rabiot’s salary demands of €10 million per year.
However, after Rabiot’s impressive season with Juventus, United is once again pursuing his signature. Other clubs, including Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich, are also reportedly interested in Rabiot.

Last summer, United’s pursuit of Rabiot surprised many, especially considering his difficult previous season. Ultimately, they signed Casemiro from Real Madrid instead.
However, Rabiot’s fortunes have turned around this season, and he has been a key performer for Juventus with 11 goals and four assists.
Rabiot has expressed his Premier League dream in the past, and it wouldn’t be surprising if United brings him to Old Trafford in the off-season.
The main question remains whether United will be willing to meet his demands, which may include a significant signing-on bonus. United manager Erik ten Hag is determined to sign Rabiot and considers him an important target.
There are other options in the market but it depends on the club’s willingness to pursue cheaper ones or go for star signings.
