Brazilian star Neymar eyes Manchester United move amid PSG exit rumors

According to the Sun, Neymar has expressed a strong desire to join Manchester United during the summer transfer window and has no intentions of leaving Paris Saint-Germain for any other club.

The 31-year-old Brazilian’s time at PSG seems to be ending, as the club seeks to rebuild following years of disappointment in the UEFA Champions League.

Neymar has faced challenges in his relationship with PSG’s supporters in recent years, and a combination of injuries and ageing has led the club to consider selling him in the summer.

As per the report, Neymar, who still has four years remaining on his lucrative contract, will only consider a move to Old Trafford this summer.

United is actively searching for another forward, as confirmed by manager Erik Ten Hag, who acknowledges the need for additional goal-scoring threats alongside Marcus Rashford.

Neymar, who holds the title of the most expensive player in football history, has a remarkable record of 118 goals in 173 games for PSG, making him a valuable potential addition to the Red Devils.

However, securing his services would come at a significant cost. With a reported weekly wage of nearly £1 million, Neymar would likely need to accept a substantial pay cut to join United.

The Brazilian star seems to be at odds with the PSG management after his absence from the team’s title celebrations to attend the Monaco Grand Prix.

Although Neymar has been sidelined due to an ankle injury since March, he was expected to be present for PSG’s recent 1-1 draw against Strasbourg, which secured their Ligue 1 title.

Neymar’s decision to leave Barcelona for Paris in a record-breaking £198 million transfer surprised the football world. However, he has struggled to live up to the enormous price tag and justify the massive investment made by PSG.
