As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has been followed by Saudi clubs as the Spaniard faces an uncertain future this summer.
The 32-year-old shot-stopper has been ever-present in the transfer rumours as the player’s situation at Old Trafford still remains a mystery. The Golden Glove winner has been the club’s No.1 keeper for nothing less than a decade.
However, he is prone to mistakes, especially his weaker ball distribution and less attacking intent. This has affected United’s play from the back under Erik Ten Hag.
Although the manager has insisted that the goalkeeper is still in his plans for the upcoming season, he didn’t guarantee his spot in the starting XI.

With the departure of Jack Butland and the uncertainty around Dean Henderson’s future at the club, the Red Devils will be looking to sign a new goalkeeper as a backup option and also a means to provide competition to De Gea.

The veteran keeper’s contract will end this month but he has a one-year extension option in his clause. However, the club is yet to announce any new deal for De Gea.
It has been understood that the Spaniard has already agreed to a new contract and only the official documentation is left to be signed. But, a delay in the process has attracted the attention of Saudi clubs.
The cash-rich clubs are keeping an eye on the 32-year-old and are also ready to tempt him to move out of Old Trafford this summer.
They could offer a lucrative deal to the veteran star but it remains to be seen whether the player signs a new contract with United or prefers to leave the club this summer.

We believe that it is highly unlikely for De Gea to make a move at this moment, but he may expect the club to sign a new goalkeeper to provide strong competition for him.
