According to the Sun, Manchester United could target a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic if they fail to land Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Juventus secured Vlahovic’s signing in January 2022, beating Arsenal to acquire the Serbian international from Fiorentina for a fee of approximately £70 million.
While the 23-year-old excelled in scoring goals during his time in Florence, he has struggled to replicate that form in Turin. Nevertheless, his dip in performance has not deterred several top European clubs.
Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Man United, and Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on securing his services. The upcoming summer transfer window is expected to witness significant movement among strikers, with both Premier League clubs and Bayern seeking new frontmen.
Players like Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani, Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos, Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund, and Vlahovic are all attracting interest and could potentially be playing for new clubs in the 2023/24 season.
Juventus are demanding €80 million for Vlahovic, and it is possible that the Serbian striker will be sold this summer following the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Despite their interest in Vlahovic, the Red Devils are also eyeing Atalanta’s young forward, Rasmus Hojlund, who is valued at a minimum of €50 million.
However, there are chances that the deal could fail to materialise and the Red Devils would need to splash extra cash to sign the striker.

Juventus are also reportedly interested in Hojlund as they prepare for the 23-year-old’s potential departure. Bayern Munich are considered the frontrunner to secure Vlahovic’s signature and are said to be preparing a €60 million offer (including bonuses) for the 23-year-old.
The Serie A giants are unwilling to lower their asking price, indicating that Vlahovic will not be available at a discounted rate.
