According to Corriere dello Sport (page 22), Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund has made a personal commitment to join Manchester United and is awaiting the possibility of a swift agreement between the two clubs.
United’s current priority is the acquisition of goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan. Manager Erik ten Hag has urged the club to complete the deal before the weekend.
After completing the deal for the goalkeeper, United are expected to prioritize the signing of a new striker, with Hojlund being identified as their main target.
The club is considering an initial bid of £50 million for the Atalanta player. According to Corriere dello Sport, Hojlund has already made a personal commitment to join United and is now waiting to see if a suitable transfer agreement can be reached between the two clubs.

Atalanta have identified El Bilal Traore from Almeria as a potential replacement for Hojlund. United’s director of football, John Murtough, prefers to focus on one player at a time, and this approach has been consistent during the current transfer window.
The club recently negotiated with Chelsea before securing the services of Mason Mount, and they are now going through a similar process with Inter Milan for Onana. United are reportedly confident about successfully completing the signing of the Cameroonian goalkeeper.
Once the Red Devils reach an agreement, their attention is expected to shift towards Hojlund. Given the high costs associated with signing Kane, United and Ten Hag view Hojlund as a favourable option with significant potential for development.
In his debut season at Atalanta, the 20-year-old contributed to 13 goals, although he joined the club late and required time to adapt to their style of play. Hojlund possesses the qualities necessary to become a prominent striker, including aerial prowess, physical presence, and pace in counter-attacking situations.

He has also demonstrated good vision in the opponent’s box. Although Hojlund scored a goal every 204 minutes in Serie A last season, the further experience should lead to improvement. It is recommended that United sign him as soon as possible to help him integrate into the team during pre-season.
Atalanta are seeking a fee of at least £60 million (€70 million) for Hojlund but may be open to negotiating a lower amount, considering their interest in acquiring Traore.
