According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United and Rasmus Hojlund have reached a complete agreement on personal terms for a potential transfer in the upcoming weeks.
The club is also in the process of finalizing a deal to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan for €55 million, and the player is expected to undergo a medical examination today.
Amidst the negotiations with Onana, United are concurrently preparing an official bid for Hojlund. The report suggests that there is already a full agreement with the player.
The Danish striker has recently switched to the SEG agency on a trial basis, which also represents manager Erik ten Hag.
Meanwhile, Atalanta are aware of Hojlund’s interest in joining United, but they are standing firm on their asking price of €70 million and are not willing to offer any discounts.

The Red Devils had specific targets in mind for this summer’s transfer window, with Mason Mount being the preferred midfield choice for Ten Hag before the focus shifted to signing Onana.
Now, the manager is eager to pursue a deal for the Atalanta ace, considering that the Red Devils are unlikely to succeed in convincing Tottenham Hotspur to sell Harry Kane this summer.
Hojlund, despite having fewer than 100 career appearances, has caught the attention of United due to his promising potential.
Last season, the striker made a move from Sturm Graz to Atalanta in late August. While it took him some time to adapt, he managed to end the season with 10 goals and four assists.
Although his statistics may not be outstanding, there were several positives observed throughout the entire campaign.
Hojlund’s physicality and aerial abilities were evident, and he showcased impressive pace and dribbling skills on the counter-attack for Atalanta. While he still needs improvement in his finishing, it is expected to develop with age and experience.

The reported €70 million asking price for an unproven striker might seem high, and United will aim to negotiate it down in the upcoming days.
They have a track record of successfully paying less than the initial price tags for players like Mount and Onana, and they will strive to do the same in Hojlund’s case by potentially making multiple bids.
