FC Twente are considering a move for Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri, according to Twente Insite.
The young Uruguayan player, who had his breakthrough with United’s first team last season, featured in 10 matches but was limited to just 214 minutes of playing time. Twente are now eyeing Pellistri as a potential addition to their squad.
Erik ten Hag has expressed his willingness to send Pellistri on a season-long loan. Reports suggest that Ten Hag himself has personally recommended the 21-year-old winger to Twente.
The manager approached the club’s technical director, Arnold Bruggink, to discuss Pellistri’s availability, but the final decision lies with the player himself.

Alongside Twente, Pellistri has received loan proposals from other clubs such as Bologna, Real Betis, and Gremio. At this point, the young Uruguayan player has not made a decision on which club he will join for the loan spell.
The youngster joined the Red Devils from Penarol in the summer of 2020. He later had an 18-month loan spell with Spanish side Alaves, where he struggled to make a significant impact.
Nevertheless, he has shown glimpses of his potential and has become a regular starter for Uruguay’s national team.
During his brief debut for United in January, Pellistri provided an assist for Marcus Rashford’s goal in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Charlton.
Given the fierce competition for places at Old Trafford, it’s uncertain if Pellistri will get consistent playing time with the club.

Therefore, a loan move to the Eredivisie, specifically with Twente, where manager Erik ten Hag has connections from his past, could be an ideal option for the young winger.
Ultimately, the decision lies with Pellistri, but Ten Hag would prefer him to join a top-flight European club where he can secure a guaranteed starting position.
