According to Football Italia, Manchester United have submitted an improved bid worth £ 30 million for Moroccan star Sofyan Amrabat this summer.
They are engaged in ongoing discussions with Fiorentina regarding the potential transfer of the midfielder. Simultaneously, the club is also making efforts to offload Fred from their squad.
In their recent pre-season friendly in Houston, United suffered a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid, highlighting their urgent need for a new striker.
Manager Erik ten Hag admitted this issue and stated that the club is actively working day and night to address the issue.
Currently, their main priority is finalizing the signing of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, for whom they made a bid of £51.4 million on Wednesday.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has also shown interest in the highly-rated Danish striker, but Ten Hag emphasized the importance of United completing the transfer before the new Premier League season commences.
Crucially, Hojlund himself prefers a move to Old Trafford, making United’s pursuit of the player all the more important.
The Red Devils had identified the need to address certain concerns in their central midfield, and as a result, they initiated discussions with Fiorentina.
Amrabat played a crucial role in helping Fiorentina reach the final of the Europa Conference League last season and also impressed as a standout player for Morocco during the 2022 World Cup.
United’s interest in acquiring Amrabat highlights their efforts to strengthen their midfield options for the upcoming season.
However, the club faces competition for the midfielder’s signature, as La Liga giants Atletico Madrid also hold an interest in acquiring a new defensive midfielder.

Amrabat is on Atletico’s shortlist, along with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Marco Verratti. While Verratti’s move appears to be set for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, both United and Atletico Madrid are actively pursuing reinforcements in their respective midfields.
In addition to seeking new signings, United are actively working on offloading some of their current squad players. Progress has been made in negotiations with the Turkish club Galatasaray to sell Fred.
While the initial bid was turned down, ongoing discussions are expected to lead to an eventual agreement, which is crucial for United’s pursuit of Amrabat.
During this summer transfer window, the club has already completed deals to sign Mason Mount and Andre Onana.
These moves reflect the club’s ambition to bolster their team and compete at the highest level in European competition.
