Patrice Evra Believes Paul Pogba Will Remain At Manchester United

Former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra has stated that midfield gem Paul Pogba will stay at the club but does not know for how long.

There has been plenty of speculation revolving around French midfielder Paul Pogba over the past few months but United have managed to keep him at the club until now. However, with the European transfer window closing on September 2nd, there is always an opportunity for the 26-year-old to make a move away from Old Trafford as Real Madrid are linked with a move to swoop in for Pogba.

It’s no surprise that Pogba has hinted that he wants to play for the Los Blancos as he has admitted that it will be a dream come true to play under his national compatriot Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Pogba has started all of the three Manchester United games so far this season but something still doesn’t feel right at the club as he was involved in an on-field argument with Marcus Rashford at the Molineaux Stadium as United drew 1-1 with Wolverhampton as Pogba missed his penalty.

But ex-France and Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has full faith that Pogba will remain at Old Trafford this summer transfer window but claims he does not know for how long the World Cup winner would remain content at the club.

While speaking to reporters, the 38-year-old said, “Paul is focused, Paul is in Manchester and he will stay in Manchester, There have been discussions, but it’s good for the club and it’s good for him [that he stays]. Now we have to concentrate, we’ll see over the years if he stays, but now it would be difficult for him to leave Manchester. Leaving at the end of the transfer window when the season has already started, no. I hope he will have a great season with Manchester. I’m not divided. Paul, he’s my brother, so he’s the best for me. If he’s not happy in Manchester, I’ll tell Paul to leave. If he’s happy in Manchester, I’ll tell him to stay. But to tell you the truth, I would advise him to stay.”
