Lindelof Criticizes His Own Performance

Manchester United center-back Victor Lindelof criticized his own performance after Sweden’s 1-1 draw with Norway on Sunday evening.

The Manchester United defender did not have the best of games for his country against Norway.

The 25-year old who signed from Benfica in 2017 has been preferred ahead of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo to partner new record signing Harry Maguire in defense. He was also criticized for his performance against Southampton in the 1-1 draw at St.Mary’s. Lindelof though is not afraid to criticize his own performances.

I think I played a lousy game,’ Lindelof told VG.

I have high standards. I think I just had two passes forward. ‘I should have controlled the game more but I didn’t.

‘Everything was bad from our side. We had all the preconditions to play a good game. ‘We played at home, with fantastic fans, against Norway, but we lose two points. Why? I have no idea.’

Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have been on a lean run of form lately with just one win in four games this season. The red devils have kept just one clean sheet all season.

Solskjaer, 46, collected the most points of any top-flight manager in his first 10 games in charge – 26 – surpassing the previous record set by former Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink.

But results have suffered since their famous victory against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Man Utd has won just three out of 16 games since that victory.
