The most recent reports have claimed that Premier League outfit Manchester United are keen on bringing in Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani to Old Trafford in the upcoming January transfer window to bolster their attack.
There were big question marks raised at the transfer board when the Red Devils allowed the likes of big-name forwards Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave the club in the summer transfer window to join Inter Milan and failed to replace the duo. French winger Anthony Martial has been out of action spending most of his time on the sidelines due to injury and English attacker Marcus Rashford is failing to cope up with the amount of pressure to get goals on a regular basis.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team has failed to score more than one goal in a game apart from the opening day 4-0 hammering of Chelsea in the Premier League and it’s quite clear that United need reinforcements in the attacking department. Paris Saint-Germain hitman Edinson Cavani has just been added to their rumored transfer targets list and the Uruguayan’s current deal with the Ligue 1 champions ends in the summer.

But with the French champions unwilling to extend Cavani’s contract at the Parc Des Princes, the star forward is on the lookout for his next destination and Solskjaer might plan a raid.
If Solakjaer and United decide to rope him on board at Old Trafford in the January transfer window itself, they might have to shell out a considerable transfer fee. Atletico Madrid is also keeping tabs on the 32-year-old forward to replace Diego Costa so United might have to act swiftly.
