Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils returned to winning ways in the Premier League after a long time on Sunday following a convincing 3-1 win against Norwich City at Carrow Road and here’s how the player fared:
David de Gea-7
The Spanish goalkeeper made a superb save shortly before half-time to preserve the clean sheet for the interval. Deserved to keep a clean sheet but substitute Onel Hernandez denied him that feat.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka-7
The £50 million right back Made a key intervention late on and offered plenty of support in the attacking third. Picked up a booking following a heavy tackle as well.
Harry Maguire- 6
The English center-back was solid in defense and led the line with impressive authority but undid a fine afternoon with sloppy defending to let Onel Hernandez score and keep
Victor Lindelof- 6
The Dane was sloppy with and without the ball at times and he inexplicably allowed Teemu Pukki to have a free shot at 2-0 that could have created a nervous second-half for the traveling support.
Ashley Young- 6
A constant presence in attack for United during the first half but had little impact in the final third. He faded towards the second half and picked up a yellow card for a reckless tackle.
Scott McTominay- 8
The Scottish midfielder was United’s best player on the pitch and he lashed the ball in to give his side a 1-0 lead. Although he lost the ball for Norwich’s goal late on in the game he used the ball positively and his energy was key in the attack.
Fred- 8
The Brazilian’s best performance of the season by far, given the test and atmosphere of the fixture. His passing was purposeful and he helped the defense as well along with winning a penalty
Andreas Pereira -7
Interchanged productively with his fellow attackers and midfielders, moving from the playmaker’s role to the left-hand side of the pitch.
Daniel James- 8
The young and electric Welsh forward won the first penalty with a probing run and showed superb vision and accuracy with the pass to play Marcus Rashford in to double the lead.
Marcus Rashford- 8
Failed with a rather weak penalty but made up for his miss with a fine finish through Tim Krul’s legs. The English star also grabbed an assist for Anthony Martial’s goal.
Anthony Martial- 9
The Frenchman enhanced the attack as he pulled the Norwich defense all over the place and eventually scored a beautiful goal after he was denied from the spot-kick in the first half.
