Solskjaer Confirms Pogba Is Going Nowhere

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that the Red Devils will not sell Paul Pogba in the upcoming January transfer window despite the heavy speculation around the midfielder.

The 26-year-old Pogba has made only six appearances in all competitions for Manchester United this season, having not featured since a 1-1 draw against Arsenal back at the end of September.

The World Cup winner has been struggling with a foot injury, but he is expected to make his return following the turn of the year as he continues his rehabilitation.

Since arriving at Old Trafford from Serie A club Juventus in a club-record deal worth £89.3million, Pogba has only 18 months remaining on his current deal and the midfield gem has been linked with a move away from Manchester and long-term admirers Real Madrid are among the few major European giants interested in his signature.

Solskjaer will now be in charge of United for a year on Thursday and the 46-year-old is adamant Pogba will be going nowhere in the January transfer window.

Ahead of United’s clash against Watford, the Norwegian explained that his ace midfielder will be going nowhere in the January transfer window and also spoke of Pogba’s traits as well, “He’s a fantastic player, charismatic personality, and for us, we’re happy that he’s here, there are all these hypotheticals. I’ve just answered he’s not going to go.”

Solskjaer also revealed that Pogba can come back and play with a smile on his face when he returns from injury to dismiss the speculation of a move away from the club, “When he comes back, play well, play with a smile on his face and do what he did a year ago when I came here,”
