As Manchester United face Burnley at home, it promises to be a fiery contest as United seek redemption following their 2-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday.
It will be a difficult one for the home side even as the Red Devils would be eager for a win. This may have been dampened following Marcus Rashford’s absence due to injury he picked up against a similar team to the Burnley side in Wolves as the Espirito Santo’s side make the trip to Manchester United.
The home side are in a tough moment of their season as series of United players are down injured making matters worse as well as team selection.
Burnley will have Ashley Westwood and Chris Wood available to Sean Dyche’s side as they prepare for the Game against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Both players ensured defeat was complete against Leicester City as they won 2-1 at the weekend.
This is a major moral boost for Sean Dyche’s side and they will aim to tamper with United’s aspiration in the season which is precisely a top four finish.
Despite the absence of Rashford for this game, there are few positives even as the host have got some make shift replacement for the injured player. This sees the likes of Mason Greenwood return to first team following his impressive display as seen in recent weeks.
While the likes of Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Daniel James provides the support needed for the Red Devils to flourish in transition. It promises to be an epic match with expectations high between the two teams.
While the Manchester United side would be aiming Chelsea’s position within touching distance of which a win can be a positive result toward achieving the feat.
However, Burnley needs the point dearly at the moment as they remain in the drop (relegation) area as at now.
In trying to pull off their neck from this relegation dilemma for Burnley they would come defensively organized and well discipline knowing United slender advantage at home coupled with the quality they’ve got in their squad as expectations continue to build up between these two sides ahead of this fixture.
