The Brazilian club Santos star Yeferson Soteldo has recently revealed that he would sign a lifetime contract at Old Trafford if he were to be offered the chance to sign and play for Manchester United.
Soteldo joined the Brazilian club in 2019 but has already been linked with an exit. The highly rated midfielder cum winger has been rumored to have linked with many European clubs in the recent months including some Premier League clubs.
Reports claim that the 22-year-old was a target for the Mereseyside club, Everton in the January transfer window but the Venezuela international committed his future to Santos before revealing it was his dream to sign for United.
In a new interview, Soteldo has boldly admitted his desire to sign for United and believes he has the skills and talent to be a success in the Premier League.
“I don’t like rumours, I have my whole family in Venezuela. I want to finish this stage at Santos by December, win the Copa Libertadores and whatever is possible and then take another step,” he told Gazeta Esportiva.
“I always dreamed of playing for Manchester United, the dream remains intact”.
“There are many steps to get there, but I feel I can. I want to go to Europe, but not to go and come back.”
“I want to go and pursue my career with greater success. I feel like I’m prepared and I have to wait for the right moment to do it.”
Soteldo definitely did not shy away from spilling the beans about his desire to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United in the interview and it is reported that this is now the second time he has professed his love and dream of playing for the 20 times English champions’ side.
The midfielder was asked whether he would accept an offer from United even if the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid were in for his signature.
Soteldo was adamant that United will be his only choice and revealed that watching Cristiano Ronaldo play for the Manchester United started his dream of representing the club on the bigger stage.
He added: “I’ve been following Cristiano Ronaldo since I was a child, I saw him at Manchester United and that’s why my love and desire to play at Old Trafford.”
“I would choose them easy. I would sign a lifetime contract.”
The Venezuelan international midfielder also blasted the President of Santos football club, Jose Carlos Peres for his recent comments in which he stated that he wanted to give the Italian giants, Inter Milan, the first chance to sign Soteldo.
Yeferson Soteldo has been with the Santos club which is based in Santos city, Brazil since January of 2019 and has a contract with them until the end of 2022. Soteldo scored 10 goals along with providing seven assists in 36 appearances across all the competitions for the Brazilian club Santos.
