According to Manchester United winger Daniel James, the Red Devils would be capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season due to their key players that would return from injury woes.
Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford have endured massive injuries and missed quite a few games for the red side of Manchester this season resulting in the club plunging down the Premier League table.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘s men have fallen a long way off the top two clubs in the recent past. Man United’s arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester City have covered up the ground on Manchester United. The two clubs have pulled well clear of the chasing pack of late, with their transfer deals and top management allowing Liverpool and Man City to acquire silverware.
Although Man United were on a good run of form before the Premier League was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak unbeaten in 11 games across all competitions. With World Cup winner Paul Pogba and English star forward Marcus Rashford returning to the first team Daniel James believes that the 20-time English champions could challenge for the title next term.
While speaking to Sky Sports the Wales winger explained that with a fully-fit team next season, the club is bound to challenge for honours, “Next season is going to be massive for us. We’re had quite a few boys injured this year, a few long-term obviously at different times, Marcus, Paul and yourself (McTominay). I think once we get them all back and everyone back together, I think with the rotation of the squad we’ve obviously got a great chance of challenging for that title next season.”
