Manchester United FC star Paul Pogba is reportedly not keen on leaving the Premier League side in the summer and sealing a move to Real Madrid.
The French midfielder has been linked with a move to the Spanish giants for over a year now, with Pogba rumoured to be keen on playing under French legend Zinedine Zidane. However, things have taken a thing for better for Manchester United FC fans who will no doubt be happy to hear rumours regarding Pogba staying put in Manchester.
Pogba wanted to leave the Premier League side last season due to Red Devils not being able to qualify for UEFA Champions League.
Moreover, Real Madrid’s interest in the 27-year old intensified with the hiring of Zidane again as their manager. The French icon was believed to desperately wanting to sign Pogba as an ideal successor to the ageing Luca Modric in the Los Blancos midfield.
However, Manchester United FC refused all offers received by them from Real Madrid, with the Spanish side failing to convince them to sell their record signing for a reported fee of £27million plus Mariano Diaz and James Rodriguez, which the Manchester United FC management thought of as extremely low compared to their investment on Pogba.
The current season has been a bad one for Pogba during his second stint at Manchester United FC. Injuries have limited his playing time which has led to him making appearances in only eight matches for the Red Devils.
Also, the player’s inconsistent form and failure to replicate his performances from his Ju time at Juventus in the Serie A at Old Trafford has made many Manchester United FC fans unhappy.
However, with the signing of attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes earlier this year by the Red Devils, the Manchester United FC squad has performed much better. The Portuguese player has been a wonderful addition to the squad with his terrific form of late.
Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær is hopeful about pairing Fernandes alongside Pogba in the upcoming fixtures released recently when the league resumes on 17th June. The midfield pairing of Fernandes and Pogba could be a handful for opposition teams and Manchester United FC fans hope that Pogba does stay and reap magic in the seasons to come
