The agent of Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso has denied recent speculation linking his client with a move to Manchester United FC in the summer.
Tolisso has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena in recent weeks as the French international strives for more playing minutes on the pitch.
Reports from France had indicated that the Red Devils had initiated discussions with the Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich over a possible deal for Tolisso in the upcoming transfer window. The World-Cup winning midfielder is believed to be valued at just €35m by the German outfit and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be more than happy to sign the player at that price.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of midfielders recently. Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek and Aston Villa FC talisman Jack Grealish have been known to top the Manchester United FC manager Solskjaer’s wishlist ahead of the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
The questionable future of French star player Paul Pogba at Old Trafford has always mounted doubts over Solskjaer’s plans to acquire a new midfield signing in the summer. It had been revealed recently that Pogba may have had a change of heart regarding a possible move to Real Madrid and would be keen on staying in Manchester and playing alongside new signing Bruno Fernandes.
It seems that Tolisso’s signing would be a bit difficult for the Red Devils to finalise in the near future. Despite not being a regular starter at Bayern Munich due to Joshua Kimmich being played as a defensive midfielder by new coach Hans-Dieter Flick, the French player is still reported to be keen on playing in the Bavarian colours.
Moreover, Eric Castagnino, Tolisso’s agent shut down rumours regarding the players move to the Premier League by stating that his client was currently on the sidelines recovering from an injury and a move to Manchester United FC was not a top priority for either of them at this point.
Speculation about Tolisso’s move to the Red Devils comes after reports that the Red Devils could miss out on the signing of highly-rated youngster Jude Bellingham, who plays for Championship outfit Birmingham City.
