Manchester United FC manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly very optimistic about Paul Pogba’s contract situation and his future at United. It is reported that Paul Pogba is very happy with the Red Devils and wants to commit his future. Pogba, after the restart, is thriving in the midfield with Bruno Fernandes and is playing some of his best football.
Pogba and his notorious super-agent Mino Raiola have previously been very vocal about a move from Old Trafford. Last summer it was believed the Pogba could move on to Real Madrid but a move never materialized. The Frenchman has been subject to a lot of uproars for his antics off the pitch but is reportedly looking to stay put.
Pogba enjoyed his football last season, under Solskjaer, who played him in a No.10 position, and Paul obliged. He was Manchester United’s highest scorer last season with a total of 15 goals in al competitions. He was the only player outside the Premier League top-two, to feature in the team of the season, last year.
But, this time around, his season has been plagued with injuries as Pogba has been limited to only 12 appearances. Since the restart, the World Cup winner has been on song and has been doing great at the heart of the midfield. Pogba and Bruno Fernandes look like a match made in heaven and linkup very well on the pitch.
It is reported that Pogba is at his happiest and also relishes the prospect of playing with the likes of Jadon Sancho. Even the fans now love the Pogba they see on and off the pitch, because of the improved performances. Pogba is even reportedly keen on extending his contract at Manchester United and wants to commit his future.
Real Madrid manager Zidane likes Pogba a lot and wants his services in the Spanish capital. Zidane was reportedly very upset with Florentino Perez to have not got Pogba to Real Madrid. With Real Madrid again reported to make a move for Pogba this summer the scenario will get very interesting.
Pogba might finally chuck his Real Madrid dream and commit his future to the Red Devils. But only time will tell if the World Cup winners stay to become a United legend or moves on elsewhere.
