Manchester United FC teenage sensation Mason Greenwood has set the world on fire because of his spectacular goals. The 18-year old has already scored nine goals in the Premier League and has 17 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils. Greenwood signed a five-year contract in October last year and is set to receive another deal to reward his performances this season.
In only his first season in the top flight of English football, Mason Greenwood has become a sensation. At only 18 years of age, he is competing in arguably the toughest league in the world and is producing the goods. Greenwood has been at Manchester United for his entire life and is very passionate about the club that nurtured him.
It is believed that before joining as United manager, Solskjaer watched Greenwood play, as was sure he would make it big in his career. Solskjaer has given him the opportunity and Greenwood has accepted it with open arms. The Norwegian is also aware of Greenwood’s age and doesn’t want to put the teenager under a lot of pressure.
Solskjaer has always stated that Mason is only 18-years old and has an ample amount of time to develop into one of the world’s best. But he has also emphasized on the fact that the Englishman is one of the finest finishers he has ever seen. To put that into context Solskjaer has played with the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Yorke and Cole.
About this time last year, Greenwood earned about just £800 per week, but his contract in October saw him earn about £25,000 per week. With his great performances in his first season for the senior team, United have decided to reward greenwood with another contract. The board members have decided to give Greenwood another contract which will see him get £40,000 per week.
Mason Greenwood has become a nightmare for defenders because of his pace, shooting accuracy and unpredictability. Greenwood can go either way and reportedly has no ‘weak foot’ and scored with ease with his left and right foot. Only time will if the talented English boy becomes a legend or is just a one-season wonder.
