Manchester United FC are reportedly keen on adding to their centre-backs, even after having one of the best defensive records this season. Maguire and Lindelof have been good defensively as United conceded the third-least goals in the Premier League this season. But United are reportedly in talks with Brazilian centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes of Lille and are looking to sign him this transfer window.
Gabriel Magalhaes is a Brazilian international who has had a great breakthrough season with Lille in the French Ligue-1. Gabriel is a left-footed centre-back, who has played a total of 34 games in all competitions for Lille this season. His performances have given the centre-back a lot of plaudits and many hold him in high regards.
Magalhaes seems to be ready for the step up as several big names are keen on securing his signature. Napoli, Everton and Manchester United are monitoring his situation at Lille and it is reported that Gabriel’s agent had flown to England to discuss a deal. The 22-year olds agent could have had talks with both Everton and United to get a measure of the clubs’ offerings.
Solskjaer has been keen on signing a left-footed centre-back who is quick and is also good on the ball. Gabriel ticks all of those boxes and is almost sure of leaving Lille this summer.
