The 18-year-old wonderkid has been attracting interest from elite clubs due to his consistent performances for the South American giants this season.

In the recent match in the Copa Argentina, he won 100 per cent of his ground duels and completed 87 per cent of his passes. The youngster worked tirelessly in defence and looks like a solid addition at the back.

Man United sent scouts to watch Aaron Anselmino and even Milan have now entered the race to sign him. However, the player has now revealed that he wants to stay with Boca Juniors and win titles with them.

My head is here at Boca. I want to win titles here and win titles with this shirt. Nothing has come from outside.

Aaron Anselmino has a €20 million release clause in his contract. Although the Red Devils have the option to sign him and send him back to Boca on loan, the player might prefer to stay a bit longer at his parent club before moving to a European giant.

It is up to United now to convince him to move to Old Trafford. The young defender could be a long-term investment for the club and they have to make sure that they can push Milan out of this race.

If neither clubs take this deal too seriously, then there are chance that other top clubs might swoop in. The Red Devils have a history of missing out on talented lads due to a lack of financial investment.

But in the majority of the occasions, this careless attitude has bit them hard in the long run. No wonder Sir Jim Ratcliffe doesn’t want his side to repeat the same mistakes that they did in the Glazers’ era.

It remains to be seen whether Anselmino’s links to United gain momentum ahead of the summer transfer window.
