According to the Daily Mail, AC Milan are plotting a move to sign Manchester United target Jeremie Frimpong this summer.
The talented Bayer Leverkusen right-back had an outstanding season, demonstrating his attacking prowess by scoring nine goals and providing 11 assists in 48 appearances across various competitions for Leverkusen.
Several European clubs have shown interest in acquiring the services of Frimpong, thanks to his impressive statistics.
Man United, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona have all been linked with the 22-year-old player, who possesses versatility that allows him to contribute in advanced positions as well.
However, United have not yet made a formal offer for Frimpong, as they are currently prioritizing strengthening other key areas within their squad.

In April, discussions took place between United and Frimpong, as manager Erik ten Hag expressed interest in securing a new right-back.
However, there have been no recent updates on the matter as the Dutchman prioritizes other crucial areas, such as acquiring a new striker and securing a first-choice goalkeeper.
After receiving a significant financial boost, Italian Serie A powerhouse AC Milan are considering a potential transfer for the promising Dutch player who has yet to earn a national team cap.
AC Milan recently obtained a massive €70 million from the departure of Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali, who completed a transfer to Premier League club Newcastle United.
With the influx of funds, the Rossoneri aim to strengthen their squad after a highly disappointing performance in their title defence campaign last season. They are now looking to reinvest the funds to bolster their team.

Frimpong is the latest rising star who has been linked with a potential transfer to Serie A, although it is uncertain whether the Italian giants are willing to invest a substantial portion of their budget to secure the young player’s services during the ongoing summer transfer window.
The talented player, who previously played for Manchester City, is currently under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2025. The German club have the option to retain him for at least one more season.
