Adrien Rabiot admits that he had received an offer to play in England

Juventus midfield maestro Adrien Rabiot is happy to stay in Italy after admitting that he had received an offer to join Manchester United in the summer of 2022.

The French star had the chance to move to the Premier League but the offer fell through as he decided to stay in Turin.

The 27-year-old has been in excellent form for the Old Lady during the current season, so it has not turned out to be a good decision to stay in Italy. Rabiot has now revealed that staying with the Bianconeri was the “best choice” when discussing about his failed move to Old Trafford. Additionally, the midfielder seems unconcerned about his future ahead.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, he said:

“It’s true, I had a chance to try the Premier League experience, but staying at Juventus was the best choice. I don’t think about the future, I’m not in a rush about my contract [expiring in 2023]”

After leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the Juventus star signed with Juventus in the summer of 2019. Rabiot played for the Parisians for seven years before enjoying success with the Ligue 1’s top clubs. The French star has been a key figure in Bianconeri’s starting lineup this season. The Old Lady, however, has had difficulty competing with their fellow rival teams in recent years.

The current campaign has seen constant pressure on Massimilano Allegri. This season, Juventus has been relegated to the Europa League after failing to advance past the group stages of the Champions League.

The Italian powerhouses have had difficulties in Serie A as well. But throughout the current campaign, Rabiot has been a reliable performer for them. During their lacklustre run, the 27-year-old has been one of their better players.

The midfielder will play for France in the World Cup as well. He will travel to Qatar as a part of Didier Deschamp’s France team.

Even though Rabiot is a good player, United strengthened their midfield department during the most recent transfer window by signing Christian Eriksen. The Red Devils also completed the final puzzle of their jigsaw by signing Casemiro from Real Madrid this summer.
