Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men suffered their first loss in three games when they made the trip to the Vitality Stadium as Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth earned three points in a 1-0 victory through Joshua King’s goal.
David de Gea-6
The Spanish goalkeeper made a decent save with his feet and kept out an effort from Harry Wilson as well but could do little about the opening goal
Aaron Wan-Bissaka-4
England right-back defended soundly up until Joshua King flicked the ball over his head to score the only goal of the game.
Victor Lindelof-3
The Swedish center back was all over the place for King’s goal as he lost composure and his form fell a bit as well.
Harry Maguire-5
The England center back was suffering a breakdown in communication with the lethargic Lindelof and looked sloppy and slow, certainly not value for the most expensive defender in the world.
Ashley Young-5
Although he tried his best the left-back lacked support at times while defending and Bournemouth seized on the hesitancy to make it 1-0. Young was also booked for a rash tackle late in the game
Fred-5
The Brazilian midfielder was okay on the ball and tried to force the issue but could not break down the Bournemouth defense.
Scott McTominay-3
It was an uncharacteristically sloppy performance from The Scotsman and it seemed like the hype around him has gone to his head.
Andreas Pereira-3
Wasted a decent half-chances when the score was 0-0 and proves why he should not be fielded as a playmaker.
Marcus Rashford-6
The young English forward tried his best to get into the game but found it difficult to make an impact because he was playing out on the wing and was restricted.
Daniel James-6
The Welsh winger was a regular thorn in the first half and United’s regular outlet until Bournemouth got a foothold in the game and he became less effective as the game wore down.
Anthony Martial-4
The French attacker was strangely subdued after his performance at Norwich and wasn’t able to create much as the Bournemouth defense kept him relatively quiet.
