Agent hints out at Eric Bailly’s exit from Manchester United

Eric Bailly is currently injured and out of the Manchester United side, due to an injury, he endured in training at Carrington. The Ivorian defender hasn’t been able to cement his place in Solskjaer’s starting XI despite a few good performances. In his recent talk with CalcioMercato, Bailly’s agent has dropped a hint about Bailly’s potential departure from Old Trafford due to lack of game-time.

With defensive fragilities in the centre-back partnership with Maguire and Lindelof, Bailly was thought to be the answer to Manchester United’s defensive woes. But Bailly massively disappointed as his first start in the Premier League this season ended in a drubbing against Tottenham. Since then, Bailly hasn’t played much football and was injured while training with the first-team squad at Carrington.

In his recent interview, Bailly’s agent said: “If he (Bailly) has the right chances, for me he can be an important player to solve some problems of the team. If all this does not happen, it is clear that the situation will need to be assessed, but now it is too early to say certain things.”

Manchester United might be losing out on patience for Eric Bailly, as the defender has been injured more often than not. He needs to prove his worth as soon as possible for him to earn a new contract at Old Trafford. Looking at the current centre-back situation at Manchester United, Bailly might be sold next summer if he fails to prove himself.
