Alejandro Garnacho shares a cryptic message on Instagram after Leeds draw

Alejandro Garnacho shared a strong statement on Instagram after Wednesday’s draw between Manchester United and Leeds.

Although United came from two goals down to draw with Leeds, it seemed like a squandered opportunity as they did not use the chance to tie Manchester City for second place in the league standings.

Within the first minute, Wilfried Gnonto got things started, and shortly after the half, Raphael Varane scored an own goal to make it 2-0. Jadon Sancho’s entry into the match changed everything since he assisted Marcus Rashford before scoring the equaliser himself with a deft move and finish.

Just before the hour mark, Wout Weghorst and Garnacho were replaced by Sancho and Facundo Pellistri. Prior to being hooked, the young winger squandered a fantastic opportunity to score as he looked less confident in the game.

Garnacho has yet to score since his thrilling goal against Fulham in November, which is another instance in which he has struggled to make as much of an immediate impact as he has done as a substitute.

The Argentina star uploaded two pictures of himself on Instagram, one with his head in his hands and the other with him striking the floor in anger with a statement: “When you don’t understand what is happening, remember that God is in control. I trust the plan you have for me.”

Garnacho will soon get another chance to prove himself, but Sancho might have earned himself a start when United plays Leeds again on Sunday. However, given the injury list for United with Antony and Anthony Martial, the Argentine may get his opportunity soon.
