Alex Telles is arguably the best Manchester United signing this summer transfer window, as he came with a huge profile but a small price tag. The left-back made his United debut against PSG and had a great game, but then suffered from the coronavirus. But in his latest pre-match press conference, Solskjaer has confirmed that Telles is back in training with the rest of the squad.
The Brazilian full-back is one of the best left-backs in the world and United surely needed another left-back in the squad. His debut was great, as he was the highest chance-creator for Manchester United against Paris Saint Germain. But since then he was absent from the squad, and only after the Leipzig game, Telles announced that he had tested positive for the coronavirus.
In his recent press conference, Solskjaer said: “Alex has started training with us, which is good. Victor has still got the issue that he’s been struggling with. He’ll have to be checked tonight [Friday] in the hotel. It’s the same squad as before Istanbul really.”
Though Telles has returned to training, it is still doubt if he will be part of the Manchester United match-day squads. The Brazilian international give the Red Devils a new dimension with his attacking and crossing abilities, which will help the team create more chances. Solskjaer would hope that Telles keeps himself fit for the rest of the season, as Shaw has been overburdened in the recent past.
