Manchester United have signed Alex Telles from Porto, on the last day of the summer transfer window. The Red Devils were linked with several left-backs this summer but finally signed Alex Telles after missing out on a deal for Sergio Reguilon. In his latest talk with MUTV, Telles talks about his move and what he expects from himself at Manchester United.
Telles is one of the best left-backs in Europe currently and has the ability to take the Premier League by a storm. He is known for his hammer of a left-foot, by which he creates chances from set-pieces as well as open play. United surely lack crosses into the box, as they play with inverted wingers and the full-backs aren’t very good with their crossing.
In his talk, when asked about his own style of play, Telles said: “I look at being a defender in a different way with my goals. I’m looking to create more openings wherever possible but during training, I also pay particular attention to set-piece training.” Being a left-back, Telles scored 13 goals for Porto last season, which mainly from penalties and free-kicks.
The inclusion of Alex Telles in the United team will provide the Red Devils with a new attacking dimension and no wonder Telles is excited to prove himself.
