Alex Telles hasn’t had the start he wanted to have to his Manchester United career, as he has played only one game for his new club. The Brazilian had tested positive for the coronavirus earlier but had recovered in time to represent Brazil last week. It has now been reported by Manchester Evening News that Alex Telles has again tested positive for the coronavirus.
Telles has played on one game for the Red Devils, against PSG, in which he was brilliant. The Brazilian international had recovered from the virus though and had also started training with the rest of the squad. With Luke Shaw’s recent injury, it was thought that it was finally time for Alex Telles to shine at Manchester United.
It has now been reported that Alex Telles has again tested positive for the coronavirus in the Brazilian camp. The Brazilian federation claims that Telles is ‘no longer in a transmissive stage’, but the entire Brazil squad will undergo a second test. Even though he has tested positive, Telles has a fair chance to play for the Red Devils after the international break.
Solskjaer would hope for Telles to be fit as soon as possible, especially with the injury to Luke Shaw, as Telles is the obvious replacement.
