Alexis Sanchez and his future after January

Form is temporary; Class is permanent. If someone has the potential to behold this statement true, it is Alexis Sanchez. Out of form Chilean international has not scored a goal in his last 700 minutes.

All the bragging that was done by United fans in January 2017 when Sanchez was bought from Arsenal, has gone in vain. The peculiarity of striker has not helped United win matches. Amidst his poor run, Mourinho has shown a model of trust in the Chilean giving him starts more often than not.

A problem that has to be taken care of the earliest, if United want to have a champagne bath at the end of this season. The prolific goal scorer has been quite for awhile and good is not enough considering the standards he has set for himself. The leash is on Mourinho to decide, how long can he stretch and allow Alexis to go on with his woeful form.

Awful as it may get, goal-drought of Sanchez has aroused speculation on his stay at United. Many think that he will roar back stronger while other feel a transfer with cut in his wages.

If the striker does not perform, he surely will be in lieu of changing his club along with a drastic cut in his wages, accounting due to his poor run.

With the likes of Lingard and Martial on the bench, Sanchez will have to prove his worth because just his wages won’t justify his place in playing XI and no team would prefer keeping a player on the starter sheet if he does not perform.

Are we about to witness the roar hidden behind silence?
