The coronavirus has caused havoc all over the world and it has also shaken the football infrastructure throughout the world. The Premier League has also suffered due to the virus but things have become much better now, but there are regular checks done on players and staff. In his recent pre-match press conference, Solskjaer has updated that none of the Manchester United players has tested positive in the recent tests.
The likes of Paul Pogba and Alex Telles have already tested positive for the coronavirus earlier. Telles, in fact, contracted the virus twice but is finally fit and ready to start his first game for the Red Devils. Edinson Cavani was also in contact with some of the Uruguayan players who have tested positive for the virus.
In his recent press conference, Solskjaer said: “Of course, we have the test results coming back after the normal tests we have to do before the Premier League games. All the tests from the internationals were negative, which is good.”
Manchester United will be eager to put aside their poor Premier League record on home this season, later tonight. The likes of Pogba, Telles and Cavani are all in contention to be selected in tonight’s game with all three players keen to improve their form and impress Solskjaer. The United manager will also hope that none of his players tests positive for the virus ever again.
